Meditterean Eats

As far back as I can remember, on my culinary journey I have always been reminded to eat Mediterranean. The fresh flavors of olive oil, yogurt, whole grains, legumes, and fruits can also provide healthy benefits. These pillars of a Mediterranean diet can aid in reducing the risk of heart disease and diabetes as providing omega-3 , fiber, and antioxidants.  It's just  so darn tasty.

Weekend Treats: Amelie's French Bakery Cafe

Like many chefs, I work different hours, so it is nice to get out on the weekend.  You aren't usually free on a Saturday, to just enjoy the city and great food.
      I capped my night off at Amelie's, where I enjoyed conversation, a palate awakening lavendar lemonade, and a caramel apple tart. The tart had all the love and warmth of an apple turnover with the flakiest golden brown crust like a great bread. This late night pit stop was a perfect end to an already incredible evening.
